About Sheila
Sheila Fox, LMP, provides healing services for people with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, symptoms of menopause and more.
Sheila is a certified iRest® Yoga Nidra meditation teacher and a skilled Acutonics® Sound Healer. She holds a certificate from Capacitar International, an organization that serves victims of war, violence and climate change globally.
Sheila is a licensed massage practitioner, and musician, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration from Evergreen College in Washington State. She is a mother, grandmother and lover of nature. Sheila has experience working with diverse populations including veterans and their families, victims of violence and occupation, homeless women’s centers, people with Alzheimer’s, elders in nursing homes, and those in hospice care.
Sheila brings a creative and warm approach to healing, emphasizing self-love and acceptance, and shares practices that reduce stress and trauma through the classes and workshops she develops and provides.
Notable Healing, Sheila’s private practice, is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Sheila teaches multicultural music and healing practices at Seattle’s Middle East Peace Camp for Children and has traveled to Israel and Palestine offering classes and Acutonics to people on both sides of the separation wall.
In 2007, she was awarded a Washington State Arts Commission Folk Arts Fellowship for her work with Seattle’s elderly Yiddish and Ladino native speakers. As a musician she has appeared with Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion with Klezmer band, The Kosher Red Hots, and has recorded three CDs.
